First Penance, First Eucharist and Confirmation

Our Lady of Mercy Primary School prepares the children of the area for these sacraments, and we are greatly indebted to the co-operation of the Principal, Teaching and ancillary staff and the Board of Management in maintaining and supporting our Catholic traditions (ethos) in the classroom.

While of course children of all faiths and none are welcomed, it is the wish of most parents to have their children prepared for the Church’s Sacraments in an environment where God’s loving-kindness is celebrated, something Mercy Primary achieves while consciously taking account of the needs of children from other faith-traditions.

Any adult who has not received these sacraments may approach any of the priests who will arrange a short course of instruction with the Parishes Cluster Catechist, after which the sacraments may be celebrated.
